An Important Update for Against The Grain Outdoors

As many of you know, Against The Grain Outdoors has continued to grow over the past few years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support you’ve shown our small family business.

With that growth has come the challenge of balancing custom orders, stock carvings, onsite carving events, shows, demonstrations, and keeping the storefront open.

Since Andrew is currently our only full-time carver, we’ve realized that to continue providing the quality, service, and experience our customers deserve, we need to make a few changes beginning in January 2027.

Here’s what you can expect:

🪵 Custom Orders
We will be accepting custom orders during:
• January & February
• November & December

These months will be dedicated to designing and completing custom projects before and after our busy season.

🏪 A Better Stocked Store
From spring through fall, Andrew will focus on creating stock carvings so that our showroom is filled with a wide variety of pieces that are ready to take home.

Our goal is to have the storefront open with more consistent business hours from April 1 through September 30, making it easier for customers to stop in and shop.

🌳 Onsite Chainsaw Carving
Good news—onsite carving events and demonstrations will continue throughout the spring, summer, and fall just as they always have!

These changes are being made with one goal in mind: to better serve our customers.

By dedicating time to both custom work and creating inventory, we’ll be able to offer:

✔️ A better shopping experience.
✔️ The same quality craftsmanship you’ve come to expect from us.
